John Futchko
Accomplished in the Study of Law
John Futchko obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University
of Michigan in 1974. He graduated in the top 10% of his class
from the Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University in 1984,
receiving several awards recognizing his scholastic work including
Certificates of Excellence in the Study of Law for 1979 through 1983.
John also received the prestigious American Jurisprudence Book
Award in the Study of Constitutional Law. American Jurisprudence
is a staple of law libraries across the nation.
Areas of Practice
John has been practicing law since 1984. He moved to Brevard
County in 1992. He is licensed to practice law in Michigan and Florida,
and is admitted to practice in Federal Court in both states. He
is a member of the Florida and Michigan State Bar Associations, the
Brevard County Bar Association, and the Florida Justice Association.
Over the course of his career, John has had the privilege and honor
to represent more than 2,500 people who have been injured by the
negligence or fault of others. John represents people of all ages who
have been hurt in motor vehicle accidents, motorcycle accidents,
slip and falls, or hurt on cruise ships. He has also represented people
who have been injured by defective products ranging from heavy
industrial machinery to simple tools.
For claims disputes, John helps people obtain Social Security Disability
benefits that may be due them, and represents people whose
claims for benefits have been denied or withheld by insurance companies.
John also practices in the areas of Family Law, including Collaborative
Practice, and Criminal Law.
Areas of Interest
John Futchko is a family man and active in his church and the
community. As his son, John, and daughter, Sarah, were growing
up in Brevard, John supported and coached local youth sports.
John and his wife, Gigi, have been avid supporters of the mission
of Candlelighters of Brevard, a non-profit organization dedicated to
children with cancer and their families by offering support
and assistance. |
